Two parks in one day

We were adventerous today! We hit not one, but two parks after spending a hour at Barnes and Noble for their children story book time. We of course had to purchase a book, thank heavens for the discount children's section!!! So after getting our book we made a quick stop through my fav sandwich place- Jimmy John's for a veggie sandwich and headed to the park- I was to eat the sandwich later, but knew we would not be by another JJ for me for lunch.

We went to a beautiful park filled with lots of kids and prepared moms. I had a sippy with a little bit of milk, no sunscreen and one bottle water for us to split.

Ella ran around and played til her tummy started talking and she wanted me to got to the car like the other moms and get lunch. I had to explain to her we both were going to have to go get lunch.

Luckily, there is a another great park by a McDonalds- so my day was saved. We ate under the shade at the second park and then Ella ran around again- lots of kids at this park too and I saw some of the kids and moms from the storybook time, great minds!!!!

Ella is down for her nap now and hopefully will awake soon and we can play outside with the flower sprinkler I purchased a couple of weeks ago- will get footage of this!!!

Proud to say I have accomplished no house work and am happy about it! Tomorrow and South Dakota Department of Labor seminar, yuck, but in order to keep the benefits in check I must attend, Ella gets to hang with her daycare buddies, lucky here, unlucky Mom!!!

Warming up

South Dakota has finally decided to warm up! It feels like spring and Ella and I are happy about this. We have spent the last two days outside. Today we started to the days with friends at the park around 9:30, went to town later on for lunch with a friend, quick trip to the grocery store- Ella feel asleep on the way home, followed by a long nap and me baking cookies and picking things up around the house.
After our nap we went over to our friend's house to play and the sun was awesome. The grass is starting to green up and before long, Ella and I will be planting flowers and our garden.

Next on the list:
Hanging out tomorrow, maybe some laundry
Finish sanding the bench on the front porch
Try a new recipe for dinner
Dave Ramsey Town Hall meeting in the evening

Friday includes bible study and lunch with friends
Saturday I have a MOPS leadership Summit to attend and Ella has a day with a babysitter.

Kyle is in the field, planting away.

Park it

Ella and I were up and at it this morning. We had storybook time at the library, which I must admit, Miss Ella has gotten into the grove of. In the beginning she was shy and wanted to sit close to the back by me. Now, after our third meeting, she is up front and center, eager to listen to the stories and sits quietly.

They read 3-4 stories and then have a short video followed by a chance to check out the books read that morning and finish off the time with a cool hand stamp. We checked out a bunch of books along with several DVD's. They are free which is great, and their selection is impressive.

I am looking into their summer programs and hope to get Ella enrolled in their story and puppet show activities.

Following the library, we headed to Sioux Falls and Staples for some supplies I needed for MOPS and to get some cash at the bank. We decide to make a lunch of it and hit McDonalds for happy meals and went to the McKennon Park and had a fun lunch in the sun and then some play time.

It was nice to be outside and we had the whole park to ourselves, Ella had a blast and begged to for me to swing her, I did of course. I think I can do lunch in the park with Junior and Ella, since I just watched her run around.

It was a nice lunch date, Ella always entertains me with her thoughts and actions- which included going after a squire- they seemed to play ring around the tree for a while, I was worried of it attacking her. But it kept it's distance and had Ella in giggles over it crawling around the base of the tree.
