Nails and cartoons

I had a really funny request this morning from a little girl in my house. I had just finished packing and getting ready for work and a work trip to Denver. Ella walks into the bathroom, with eyes covered from the light hitting her. She asks me in a little voice:
Ella: "Mommy, will you put on cartoons and paint my fingernails." She says this and wiggles her fingers at the same time.
Me: "Well....ok, let's go get turn on the cartoons and I will see about painting your nails." I was totally stuck, moment of weakness, I am leaving for two days and cannot ask Kyle to do this, plus he would refuse. I get Ella settled into the Disney channel as she begin to wake up some more and again, hear the request
Ella: "Paint my nails Mommy."
She wins
I get out the bottle of pink nail polish and go to work, and of course once i have complete one full coat on all ten fingers, she begins to wiggle her toes and ask for them painted as well. So I do it. Guilty Mom at it's best. On any other morning, with me running late, i would have stood my ground, well maybe!

He might kill me

So we got a incentive at work, two big $100 bills. I put them up, instead of it burning a hole in my pocket and heading straight to the mall to celebrate my favorite habit, shopping. Instead, I went online to NineWest and selected three, I know, three pairs of shoes. I was a dollar under $100. I will deposit the money and see what he says. Those that know Kyle, can already imagine what he will be saying. Maybe I will be lucky and the package will come when he is away or working late! I cannot help myself, they were cute and perfect for some upcoming work related events. This is the first time to order shoes online, so I am keeping my toes crossed they all fit.
The goal now is not to spend a dime the remaining of the week. I will keep you posted.
