The love of different foods

Growing up on a ranch in California I had the opportunity to eat some pretty amazing food at a young age. With one grandfather's orchard of almonds and walnuts, these were always readily available around the house. But the best was the produce we could grow off the coast, artichokes, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, fresh seafood. I loved it.

And then in Oklahoma I had awesome BBQ starting just north of the junior college I went to, it was a little restaurant off the beaten bath that served amazing chopped brisket and ribs. And nothing could beat Kyle's grandmother's okra, friend pork chops and snicker doodle cookies. We went there a lot of Sundays while we both were still in school at OSU.

When we moved to Mississippi, I could have died and gone to food heaven, talk about some amazing, water in your mouth food. No franchises here folks, just good people serving great food, from the gumbo, to stuffed catfish to poor boys, it was a foodies dream come true.

Sioux Falls has some good stuff too, had sushi today and it was yummy, so you could say my palate has tasted a lot of American foods.
