Splinters

Ella got a splinter on Father's Day.
It sucked holding down a two-year-old, mad and hurt, and in pain. (splinter in balm of hand)
Used the first aid kit- actually had a splinter remover tool, looked dangerous and lethal, but it worked.
Ella remained mad until talk of a ice cream cone came into play (I thought of this, figured it might make things better).
The wound is healing, kissed it this morning as I woke the sleeping beauty!
Good weekend, not much to report, for once!
It's Monday, lots of work and meetings. Welcome to another work week, only 11 days til vacation.

You needed kena there. She pulled two from Ava's foot a couple of weeks ago. She had to use a needle and everything and Ava never noticed what was going on. We had the cartoons on and kena was doing her pop goes the weasel. (make sure you have some shoes for Ella on mom's and dad's deck.)

Kena will be the official splinter puller.

Awwww. AG still talks about getting a splinter in her foot in Florida last summer. Hope Ella doesn't hang on to this memory THAT long!
