Yesterday I got back from a client meeting just in time to go vote before I picked up Ella. We vote at the firehouse which is a five minute walk from our house and I could see the stream of cars going in and out. So I thought I better go now before it gets later in the evening and the line gets longer.
I feel it is important to vote, it is a right we have been given and to think that at one time women were unable to, so since I was 18 I have been a devoted voter.
Anyway, I walk in, they find my name and off I go. Once I approach the table I am asked for my ID and then in a super loud voice the elderly lady states loud and clear for the whole firehouse to hear- "YOU'RE A REPUBLICAN," and I tuck in fear. Wow, that caught me off guard, I grab the voting sheet, and hurry to the desk, fill it out and walk out fast. Not that I was embarrassed, but I noticed that the folks behind me were not having their party broadcasts to the group.
Later that evening, the three of us walked back to the firehouse to vote and I cautioned Kyle, and of course he did not have the same experience. Go figure.
I watched Hillary and part of Obama's speeches last night. I believe things will really begin to heat up now.

That is when you say.."yep and damn proud of it too!" and then smile at the lady. Or you could have gone a set further and stated that you wouldn't want to have to choose between the two nut jobs running for the dem. spot. LOL.
WOW
