Thunder and Lighting

Either last night, or early this morning, we had one heck of a storm, enough that when the lighting struck, could of been our house for all I know, both Kyle and I heard this alarm go off, like the fire alarm. But you know what, neither of us got out of bed, just didn't move, wondering what it was and what we should do. Ella, slept through all of it! Lucky kiddo. My only guess is the lighting and thunder shook the house enough to trigger the fire alarm, if not maybe our house has some super thunder and lighting alarm that we don't know about and only goes off in the middle of the night.

I have to admit since she has gotten home, she has been a pretty happy little girl, no tears, no time outs (these will come, I know) each morning I have to wake her up she rises with a a tired smile and asks to please have her milk. How can I say no to such a cute reply.
We are headed with the daycare kids and parents to the Omaha Zoo this weekend. We will make a weekend of it and head down Friday and spend the night to get a good start Saturday. Kyle will be leaving Sunday for a conference, so Ella and I and Miss Katie (she is coming along to see friends and go to the zoo) will have Sunday to do whatever we, girls want.

I am looking forward to it. I have tomorrow off, so we will be cleaning house, laundry, packing and running some errands, and most importantly, sleeping in!
