Ella has become a major Daddy girl. It is a sweet thing. And she has been missing him too. With the fall season, comes harvest and Kyle is busy with meetings and work in the field. This morning is a good example of Ella missing her Dad.
Ella: (waking up and wondering around the house with major bed head) "Where is Daddy?"
Me: "He had to leave early for work this morning."
Ella: "For work?"
Me: "Yes, come on lady, let's get dressed! You can call him in the car."
After a long back and forth session of Ella picking out which dress to wear, we head for the car. By the way, it has been warm up here in the North, so Ella has been demanding to wear dresses and I can't say I blame her!
Once in the car, as I am backing out of the drive way I hear
Ella: "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, call Daddy."
Me: "Ok, I will give me a second"
I proceed to call Kyle and tell him he has a fan wanting to chat.
Ella: "Hi Daddy! Oh Look Daddy, Look! (she is looking at the fog by the water treatment area in amazement. What is funny is when she says fog it sounds like hog!)
Me: "Ella it is FOG, not HOG." (Loud enough that hopefully Kyle can hear me.
Ella: "Daddy, I'm going to Jena's house (daycare), see you in the morning, love you!"
Me: Heart melting for how sweet my little girl can be.
I am looking forward to the weekend for us three to see each other!
Thanks for reading.
