Baby Powder
It amazes me how much a child takes in, watches other and replicates those actions in their own ways. Miss Ella did just this last night. I was working on cleaning up the kitchen and dining room, they had become a catch all for mail, dirty dishes, magazines, bags, wipes, diapers and who know what else, Ella went to play in her room quietly. A little too quietly. I was curious to what she was up to and thought I better go see what she is up to. Well, I found her on the floor with one of her many babies with a small bottle of baby powder and was apply it before she put her diaper on.
She looked up at me and said "See Mommy, like how you do it!" Ella was so proud of herself, it made me laugh and I distracted her and was able to grab the baby powder up and wondered to myself where it came from and how she got it. I tried not to worry too much about that and focus instead on the sweet moment I had witnessed.
