Another Door Story

I have another door story to follow the one earlier this week.
Last night Ella and I went to a Pampered Chef party at a friend's house. Ella was going to get to play with other kids downstairs while the moms and ladies got to test out cool kitchen gadgets.
It has been snowing and sleeting here and I didn't want to walk to the mailbox, laziness on my side these days and thoughts I would just drive up to the mailbox and get the mail on our way out.
I must have been very focused on getting the mail because I did not shut the garage door this time. So for a good 1 1/2 the world had access to our home.
Insert me freaking out to see the door wide open when I got home. Insert a curse word or two and telling Ella not to repeat Mom.

I am more confident this time, as the temperatures are freezing and I am thinking that most people are home, not wandering the streets. So I check the house over, with some fear as I go downstairs to check the bedroom, office and laundry room with Ella upstairs, I did the upstairs check first with Ella in the hallway- telling her to not move!

We were in the clear and I chalked it up to me not thinking. Good thing the week is almost over.

We are hosting dinner club at our house this weekend. Presently I have a gallon of milk, chicken breasts and cheese in the fridge. I think I might need to do some shopping before tomorrow night, huh!

Will report back on Dinner Club, should be lots of fun!
