Doors

Last night was interesting!

I picked up Ella, who was anxious to get home, so we made no unnecessary stops on the way home. As we were approaching the house I noticed that the side door to the garage was wide open. Insert me freaking out! Yikes is someone inside. I pull into the driveway and open the garage door for the car. Not sure if this is a good idea and hoping no one is standing there with a bag of our possessions or worse a gun.

No one in sight once the door fully opened, I sign but still am concerned. Kyle is out of town so I start to think of people to come over and check things out. I call two mom's and the hubbies are not home, and then I call our friends and get a hold of them and they come right over. Yeah. I am nervous and Ella thinks I am a bit crazy as we stay parked in the driveway.

Luckily, after a complete inspection of the house, all is well and we get the green light from our friend that all is safe and no one is in the house. I don't see anything missing and chalk it up to the wind blowing open the door. I lock it immediately and place the garbage container in front of it, just to be on the safe side.

Mental note has been made to make sure all doors in the garage are always locked, especially when Kyle is away.
