Next we headed to the mall, but decided to feed ourselves at Red Lobster first. We had a nice meal and listened to a table full of ladies on their "night out". I heard on lady state to the waiter she was not sure which credit card to use since she has spent $200 at Yankee candles. Holy cow, that is a lot of candles!
After our seafood fill, we headed to Toys R US, where a kid can be a kid...
Well, we had our kid's hearts in mind as were went down each row of toys looking for the right thing. We did find the movie we wanted, Mary Poppins! Yeah, she has never seen this movie, but Ella has had Katie tell her about it often and we sometimes sing " A spoon full of sugar." I had clipped a coupon for a cool baby toy last week and we found it, Luke got the bargain buy of only $15.99- originally $24.99 then reduced to $19.99 plus my coupon to a grand total of $14.99- YEAH, so we purchased some accessories to go with it just for being in the spirit of the season.
Next we went to the mall, I had one return to make and walked into a great sale for my nieces, so now they are all taken care of, all four of them!!!
Kyle and I split up for a while, later met up at a book store then a few other stops for gift cards. We made it out of the mall before closing, made a quick stop at Sonic to reward ourselves on our purchases and progress and then headed home.
The kids were asleep, we chatted with our terrific babysitter (who drives- AWESOME) and now here I sit typing about the evening and looking for a few items to purchase online.
It was a nice evening to not think about the upcoming move and all that brings, and instead concentrate on the joyous holiday upon us and what it means and represents. We are blessed in so many ways and giving it just one of those blessings we get to live out during this season.
Ok, better get ready for bed, we have a open house tomorrow afternoon and I am a extra in a commercial for a law firm- fun- way to make some Christmas money!!!
Blessings.
