Flushing toilets

My little boy is breaking into some new territory. He may not be walking yet but can crawl and walk (with the use of walls and any other object he can gets his hands on) to get where he WANTS to go.

In our downstairs we have a small bathroom between our family room and the kitchen/breakfast area. It is nice to have one downstairs, as the other two are upstairs- it has become the place I finish applying what makeup I remember to put on (aka mascara- sometimes I only get one eye) and for Miss Ella to brush her teeth each morning. I try to keep the door closed since Luke is into everything these days.

Note- I keep a close eye on Luke at all times, but he is fast and this incident was one of them.

I was wrapping up things in the kitchen the other day, following dropping Ella off at preschool. Luke was in the breakfast area playing with toys. I turned to place some items in the pantry and the next thing I hear is the toilet flushing. Being that it was just me and the almost nine month old I was a little thrown off by the noise, only to realize my precious, sweet little boy was proudly flushing the toilet with pride. He was so happy and excited at this discovery, it was hard not to laugh out loud at what I was witnessing, and I will admit, I did laugh.

To add to this, two days ago I caught Luke splashing in the toilet and announced to Ella and Kyle that we had to keep the lids down at all times. I wonder what is next!!

That is great! At least Kinzie isn't the only one who likes to play in toilet water. I have caught her several times playing in it becuase as much as I remind Ava to put the lid down she never does.

TOO funny.

Mine figured out how to open the bathroom door so she could bring in her steppy-stool and look at herself in the mirror. She "preens" just like her daddy.

You'll have to emphasize to the little one however, that there are certain things that go in the potty. And mommy's makeup isn't one of them.

ROFL!

Best of luck
