Kyle's birthday

We celebrated Kyle's birthday last night. A nice dinner, with a very Easter/Spring decorated cake. 

Ella and I found this frosting kit with the spring sprinkles and of course had to get it and thought it would be fun for Kyle's cake. We made the cake on Tuesday morning and planned to ice it later that night. We were a bit side tracked by Miss Ella having a accident in our bed during nap time. Yup- peed through the comforter, blanket, sheet, cover and mattress pad. I debated leaving it, but with Kyle's birthday the next day, figured I better clean it up. So two loads of sheets and blankets and two trips to the local laundromat to wash and dry the comforter, when then iced the cake.

We stored wrapped it up real nice for last night and then I left Miss Ella alone with the cake in the kitchen- wrong move.

I went downstairs to get a load of laundry and left the cake on the counter. I was gone less than a minute- this prego can move when I need to. Well, I come up to see Ella covered in icing and spring sprinkles and half the cake with little three year old hand prints and finger prints on it. She has icing all over her face, hands and hair. She looked at me with guilt in her eyes and said she was sorry. Kyle was outside cleaning his grill and I told him he had to come in and witness this gift from Ella. He just laughed and Ella teared up. 

I attempted to fix the tasting side Ella had created and had bought some trick candles for Kyle but they have gone MIA so I used Ella second and third numbered candles for his cake.
